“Missions” and “Deeper Life” are two of the key spiritual cornerstones of Alliance churches since its inception. The “Fourfold Gospel” proposed by Dr. A.B. Simpson, the founder of the Missionary Alliance, encompasses these spiritual values. Since the early Western missionaries were sent out, Chinese believers today have the opportunity to take up this important task. Therefore, the mission of the CCACA is “to promote the cultivation of a Christ-centered, Spirit-powered, mission-focused Chinese Alliance churches.

The church is like a train moving toward the Great Commission on a train track of evangelism and cross-cultural Mission, so both evangelism and cross-cultural missions are indispensable. If there are no evangelists, how can anyone recognize the Gospel? If there are no mobilizers, who will be sent out to participate in missions? In these last days, it is the duty of the Chinese Alliance churches to fulfill the Great Commission entrusted by Jesus Christ to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. In order to assist the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches in exploring cross-cultural missions opportunities both within and outside Canada, the CCACA has established the Cross-Cultural Missions Engagement Ministry. There are four main areas of ministry:

  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership: To develop and implement a mission strategy that is appropriate for the Chinese Alliance churches and ensures that it is aligned with the global objectives of Alliance Canada and the vision of AB Simpson for deeper life and missions.
  2. Mobilization and Equipping: To promote the spiritual growth of brothers and sisters and the fulfillment of the Great Commission through mission education, organizing different mission courses, mission Sunday school, short-term mission trips, and cross-cultural mission events. At the same time, we mobilize church members to support frontline missionaries and mission fields through prayer and other means.
  3. External Engagement and Outreach: Explore and promote cross-cultural mission opportunities within and outside of Canada, and through mutual prayer, organize vision and short-term mission trips to build cross-cultural partnerships among the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches, Alliance Canada, and other mission organizations.
  4. Pastoral care and support: to provide pastoral care, training, counseling and encouragement to missionary candidates to meet the challenges of cross-cultural ministry.

The above-mentioned ministries are under the responsibility of Rev. Alice Ho.

Since 2012, she has been actively promoting and encouraging pastors and believers of the Canadian Chinese Church to participate in cross-cultural missions. She has mobilized many believers to serve in various cross-cultural positions, including long and short-term missions, mission trips, local cross-cultural ministries, prayer and financial support for missionaries or mission fields, as well as participation in various mission programs. By God’s grace, more than 100 believers from various Chinese churches in Canada and Hong Kong have participated in the Peruvian Lima Chinese ministry, the Peruvian Quechua Bible translation ministry, and cross-cultural ministry to the ethnic minorities in Thailand and Laos.

In the Canadian Chinese Church, Pastor Alice actively promotes and leads the Kairos and Perspective programs, which mobilize and equip Chinese church members to participate in cross-cultural missions.

As this ministry spans across the Chinese Alliance churches across Canada we need God’s provision of funds, but we also need the prayerful and financial support of churches and individual church members. If you are moved by God, please click on the website https://chinese.ccaca.org/offering/了解詳情.
